Vaishakha Punya Masa
Vaishakha is the second Lunar Month in the Hindu Lunar Calendar, whose computation began from the Equinoctial New Moon, Amavaysa, which fell on March 20. So Chaitradi, the First Lunar Month, started on 20 Mar.
On 07 May 2016, we have the second lunar month of Vaishakha, which is considered a Holy Month for the Eternians. Like the Vrischika Punya Masa, the month of Sidereal Scorpio, Vaishakha is full of esoteric significance. Vaishakha is the Lunar Month, when the Solar Ingress into Taurus takes place, Vaishakhe Vrisha Sankranti. Guruvayur, the fourth largest pilgrim center in the world, becomes full of pilgrims.
